Do you have what it takes to create a short film in just one day?

The 12-Hour Guerrilla Film Challenge is a high-intensity filmmaking event where storytellers, creatives, and aspiring crew come together to write, shoot, edit, and screen a short film—all in a single 12-hour sprint. It’s about collaboration, pressure, and raw creative fire.

How It Works

  • Arrive early (6:00 AM) – Get registered and caffeinated.

  • Briefing + Theme Reveal (6:30 AM) – We reveal the secret theme and rules.

  • Team Assignment (7:30 AM) – You’ll be paired with your crew for the day.

  • The Sprint Begins (8:00 AM)

    • 2 hours to write

    • 4 hours to shoot

    • 4 hours to edit

  • Submission Deadline: 6:00 PM sharp

  • Live Screening + Judging: 6:30 PM


Rules & Constraints

  • Phones only for filming – no pro cameras or extra gear.

  • One lavalier mic kit will be provided per team.

  • No outside equipment – lighting must be DIY and guerrilla-style.

  • Editing on laptops or Stark media lab computers (pending approval).

  • Minimum 4 / Maximum 8 per team.
    You can sign up solo or with a group. Teams will be formed day-of.
